Destinations Changing to Cater for Tourists from China

The design of hotels and resorts across Asia is changing to
cater for the growing power of tourists from China. Chinese tourists have specific preferences,
and the hospitality industry is looking to satisfy these.
More than 70 million tourists from China went on holidays in 2011.
This number is expected to increase to 100 million by 2020. There

AirAsia Philippines yesterday received its air operator certificate from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, and is planning to launch three domestic and three international routes from its hub at Clark International Airport.
The carrier is scheduled to start domestic flights to Davao (March 15), Kalibo and Puerto Princesa

Macau Festival 2011 Celebrates in Sydney
People can experience all the excitement, colour and
fascination of Macau on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 October 2011, when the inaugural 2011 Macau Festival will
be held in Tumbalong Park, Darling

Macau International Dragon Boat Races
This old Chinese festival commemorates the heroic poet Wat Yuen who protested against corruption by drowning himself. Today all celebrations are concentrated on the famous Dragon Boat Races, which in Macau takes place on the Nam Van Lake. Many local teams and foreign teams take part in this colourful event.
