Crown St Mall Celebrates its 25th Birthday with a Family Fun Day

About 25 years ago many city centres in Australia closed
their main shopping streets to vehicle traffic and turned them into pedestrian
malls with the aim of making people movement easier. Some pedestrian malls have
worked well, whilst others have been dismal failures and have since been
converted back to streets allowing vehicular traffic.
